we try to select a method that will bring your
order to you in the best possible condition
and for the most economical delivery charge.
If you find we have overcharged you on the delivery
charges please notify us of the alternative
and we will credit you with the difference.
We are always looking for ways to cut the cost
of delivery (we recycle our cardboard boxes)
- but please remember were you to go to the
shops you would have to pay your fare, or petrol
and parking charges PLUS you would have
to carry the parcel ! So let us take the strain.
We also recycle packaging. Please note we do
not debit your credit card or bank your cheque
until the goods are all there and ready to be

Please note that while we try to process orders
quickly sometimes we are temporarily out of
stock of an item or at certain times of the
year we may very stretched. If your parcel is
required by a certain day please email us on
deliveries@The
Rosslyn Delicatessen and we will
do our best to catch your date or give you an
update on your parcel.
Perishable items will be packed in a polystyrene
cool bag with coolant packs. Postage/shipping
will be selected over the fastest possible time
usually overnight but please allow up to 4 working
days for ambient non perishable parcels. If
there are to be any further delays because we
are short of an item we willcome back to you
as quickly as possible.
Small
parcels that are not bulky e.g can travel in
a jiffy bag and are under 1kg will go in the
normal post(1st class). Heavier parcels between
1-2 kg will go by Parcel Force or carrier usually
within a 4 working day schedule. Very bulky
or heavy parcels will always be sent by carrier.
All the services we use carry a compensation
service and valuable items such as caviar will
be sent by recorded delivery (add £1 extra
- if recorded delivery required)
Another
piece of advice is that postal services do have
weight breaks e.g up to 2kg, 2-10 kg and so
on. Therefore if you can make your parcel just
up to the limit it will be more economical for
you. In fact adding another small item may pay
for itself ! Remember to take the weight of
your goods and add 10% extra (a guide only)
for the weight of the packaging. Please also
note that items in a 75ml bottle - the bottle
weighs approx 500g, a glass jar weighs approx
200g. We suggest you print out a copy of the
chart for easy reference when ordering. Our
Rosslyn boxes being dispatched with extra packaging
are priced for delivery seperately as indicated.

pages and added to the shipping cost shown on

Goods
travelling together with a value of over
£100 and a weight limit under 5kg
will be sent free of charge, goods travelling
together with a value of over £200
and a weight of under 10kg will be sent
free of charge and goods travelling together
with a value over £300 and a weight
under 20kg will also go free of charge
(UK mainland only). This does not apply to Rosslyn
Boxes.
In the case of international deliveries
or parcels travelling outside mainland
UK there is a drop down menu on the
page where you fill out the address. This applies
to parcels between 2-10kg ONLY.
In all other situations or where we can make
a saving for you we will inform you of the delivery
charges by email.
Once a package leaves the UK we are no longer
responsible for any duties, mishandling or any
restrictions that any government may have towards
the package. You will be charged for the shipping
costs incurred.
Sometimes an item may be temporarily unavailable
in which case we will not be able to send out
immediately, however we do try hard and will
notify you of any delay and inform you of the
date of dispatch and anticipated date of arrival
when we do dispatch. Please note we cannot be
held accountable for undue delays in the service
we are using nor for failure to deliver due
to the unavailability of the recipient. Please
always check your parcel to
see that it has not been damaged especially
if asked to sign a receipt. |
